April 13th

After going to the resort's breakfast for French toast and fruit,it got cloudy and started to rain.
Ralph,Gary,Brian, and Howard went to Mega Liquor and bought all the liquor to take home.
I uploaded photos to the blog. We all went to the Diamond Valley Lake Museum and Science Center.
Very interesting. It rained heavy all day and evening. We went to shuffleboard in the evening..

April 14th --Happy Birthday Marie

Cold (57 Deg.F.),cloudy and rain showers. While our friends were packing up to leave, we relaxed.
The eight of us went out for Chinese Food and then back to our place for Tequila Rose shooters and
coconut cream pie. Thank you everyone for your good wishes.

April 15th

We said good by to the Howels, Regans, and Schinkels. We relaxed around the pools on a sunny 80 Deg.F. day. Don and Gerrie Beatch (Victoria) came over for a Happy Hour.

April 16th

Beautiful hot day 90 Deg. F.  We went shopping at Target before going to the pool. I made a cherry cheesecake to take to the potluck Spud night. We played a fun game of shuffleboard after supper.

April 17th

Over 90 Deg.F. again today. I had a busy day : hair colored, cut & styled, pedicure, and nails filled. Ralph took me to Soboba Casino for supper and to play the slots. Won some and lost some but had fun.

April 18th

Happy Anniversary to the Howells. We did some shopping for cheese,butter(3 lbs for $6.60) and other items to take home. Dairy products are very cheap in the US.  Warm 85 Deg.F. and went swimming.

April 19th

Another hot one over 90 Deg. F.  We went to J.C. Penneys and then the pool.  Don and Gerrie invited us for supper. The ribs from their smoker were delicious. We played shuffleboard after supper. The girls did not do well against the boys.

April 20th

We cleaned, did laundry and packed up on a extermely hot day. 100 Deg.F. We left our bikes at George's until next winter. We had lunch and listened to Michelle sing at the Palms Cabana. We gave some part bottles of alcohol and our plants to Don and Gerrie. We played our last game of shuffleboard with the group(Ralph's team won).

April 21st to April 23rd

Homeward bound at 7:30 am Saturday.  It was 100 Deg.f. traveling through Las Vegas and 82 Deg.F. in Nephi, Utah at 7:30 pm when we stopped at the Flying J for the night.

It was another 11 hour driving day on Sunday as we traveled through Utah,Idaho, to Great Falls, Montana.
(still 84 Deg. F. at 7 pm)

Monday morning we were on our last leg for home (1 hour at the busy border crossing).
At 3 pm we were parking our 5 th wheel on our pad at home. 82 Deg. F. /26 Deg. C.-- a Calgary record for this time of year.  A long 29 hour drive but the weather was fantastic and no driving problems.

After a shower and a quick supper we went to Derek and Carol's for dessert. There were lots of hugs and kisses with Liam and Emmett. We have missed them. It's good to be home!!
Thanks everyone for tuning in to our latest fall and winter adventures.
Have a happy and safe summer.
