Feb.26th

Nice 74 Deg. F. sunny day. We did the blog. Later in the afternoon we drove over to visit Duke and Donna. We went for fish and chips for supper.

Feb.27th

Ralph went to shuffleboard and I uploaded pictures to the blog. We visited with George and Grace after going to Walmart. It got windy later on.

Feb.28th

In the morning Ralph and I got our hair cut. Ralph played pool with Ron while I did laundry.
A group of us met at the Cocopah Casino for supper and to play the slots. We celebrated Grace's birthday with cheesecake afterwards.

Feb.29th

We went to the resort's breakfast before we played shuffleboard. Sunny 75 Deg. F. day.
We packed up before going to Ron and Joyce's for happy hour. Our awning arm got bent and Ralph had a hard time to roll it up. Ron and George helped him.We listened to some good singers at the Karaoke Superstar.

March 1st

We said good bye to our friends at The Palms. We have had great fun at the resort with lots of top notch entertainment and large RV sites. We are on our way to Indio, CA (3hours).
We suprised the Howells and Regans by staying at Indian Wells RV Resort for 2 weeks.
Our friends Norm and Lyla Brown (Carstairs AB) are renting a park model at this resort as well.
Nairn and Donalda Bannatyne drove 5 hours from Scottsdale AZ to visit us on their way home.
The 4 of us went for a good meal at Jackalopes.

March 2nd

We had a delicious breakfast at Shields Date Farm with Nairn and Donalda. They are now heading back to Kelowna, B.C.
We picked up the Howells and Regans and drove 26 miles to friends Gord and Marj for supper.
They are renting a villa in Palm Springs.Nice evening.

March 3rd

Today was Hoedown Day at the resort. The guys decorated their bicycles and went in the 10am parade. Burgers and beer at noon--fun games until 3 pm--free roast beef dinner and dance in the evening. A fantastic time!! A very hot day 85 Deg.F.

March 4th

There was music at the resort's breakfast of pancakes, ham and eggs. We bought an inner tube for Marie's bicycle at Walmart and did some grocery shopping. Another hot day.
Indoor shuffleboard was from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

March 5th

While we had our truck tires rotated at Costco, we did some shopping. We relaxed and enjoyed the good weather in the afternoon. The dance with the rock and roll band "Blackwater" was a lot of fun from 7:30 to 10:30pm.

March 6th

Shade Pro Awning replaced our broken awning arm. After a swim in the pool, we went for a date shake at Shields Date Farm (next door to the resort). In the later afternoon the weather changed frrom 84 Deg.F. to cooler, extremely windy and dusty. Karen and I went to bingo.
Karen won $35.00 on the last game.

March 7th

Not quite as windy as yesterday. Ralph and I had a pedicure and I had my fingernails done.
Norm and Lyla invited us for supper and we had a good visit with them.

March 8th

Happy Birthday Jean and Linda.
We drove to The Living Desert in Palm Desert. The Living Desert is a zoo and botanical garden that specializes in the plants and animals found throughout the deserts of the world.
We saw many exotic and endangered species in natural settings: cheetahs,Mexican wolves, giraffes, camels, zebras, gazelles and more (no African Barking Spiders). There were demonstrations with snakes and birds of prey etc. There was a huge model train exhibit with towns, mountains canyons inside the park entrance. They were operating on a big horn sheep who broke his antler at the state of the art wildlife hospital. There was over a thousand acres of Sonoran desert. By the time we got back at 4:30pm we were exhausted. It was a excellent day-- very hot at 84 Deg.F.

March 9th

Another very warm day. While I did laundry Ralph went to Walmart. I read and relaxed,Ralph went to the pool. Soup day at the resort--homemade vegetable beef soup, bun and ice cream for $2.50.

The whole Palms Springs area is so beautiful with Palm trees, manicured boulavards and flowers upon flowers. Our RV site is alot smaller here than at The Palms in Yuma. It is expensive to stay in RV parks in this area but it is worth it. We see hummingbirds every day. A roadrunner comes by occasionally and the weather is great.
